“Someday, I want to take a painting class” was a longing that lingered in the back of my mind for decades as I raised children, homeschooled and did life. Expressing my creativity in a myriad of other ways was fulfilling, but I was deeply aware that some form of creativity was missing.
The day arrived when I took the scary and exciting leap and signed up for a painting class at a nearby community college. I soon discovered that painting was hard work and strangely satisfying at the same time.
When I completed my first painting, something inside of me felt complete and I was filled with wonder that God had given me this gift.
As a woman who immensely loves variety, I enjoy capturing the beauty that exists in people, God’s amazing creation and everyday objects. I enjoy exploring mixed media, infusing my love for fiber, vintage children’s books, words and quirky finds. However, one theme is always present, a passion for color!
