One of the ways you can rediscover who you were made to be, is to recall some of your favorite pastimes as a young child.
What did you love to do when you were by yourself?
Who or what did you pretend to be?
Where do you see those aspects of yourself in your current life?
Today, enjoy celebrating who you were created to be by doing something that brought you joy as a child.
One of the things I enjoyed immensely as a child was climbing the black oak tree in our backyard. Each year I would grow more brave to climb higher, being careful to do this when my mom wasn’t paying attention. She would holler up to me “That’s far enough Carrie Beth!”
Life has changed since then and I am now dating a man who has an impressive burr oak in his backyard with a low canopy. I have commented to Kurt how his tree is perfect for climbing and I would love to do that sometime. He has encouraged me to do just that. Next time, I’ll wear the right shoes!
